Your home is your sanctuary, as should be any space that you inhabit. And as such, the energy in them should be clean and highly vibrating. It is our responsibility to make sure that the energy in your spaces stays positive and highly vibrating. Just like in people, energy in spaces can be affected: it can go from high to low, from negative to positive, and from light to dense.
People come in and out of your home, vibrating at different frequencies. Those who live with you can also affect the energy of your home, or you can bring low vibrating frequencies from encounters with different people throughout your day.
Throughout the history of humanity, people have used diverse ways to cleanse their spaces and rid them of low-vibrating, dense energy. Today, I’m sharing with you 5 surefire ways to clean the energies in your spaces and prevent bad juju from latching to your home’s energy field.
Smoke: One of the most known ways to clear the energy in a space or person is using smoke. There are several ways in which to produce smoke for energy cleansing: using incense (in sticks, cones, or resin), smudge sticks made from herbs, lose herbs on charcoal, or using sacred woods (palo santo, copal, pine). Whatever your tradition, you can choose one of these methods to smoke in any area of your home. Start at your home’s deepest point and move all the way towards the entrance.
Crystals: Use selenite towers around your home, selenite cleanses and purifies the energy. Also keep black tourmaline, obsidian, and smoky quartz. Remember to clean and charge your crystals regularly!
Energy Sprays: Energy or Aura sprays are colognes created with specific intentions, using crystals, and essential oils and following a ritual, on an auspicious date, such as a full or new moon. You can spray these around your house or on yourself.
Plants: As natural beings, plants are amazing energy cleansers. One of the most used plants to keep bad juju away is the aloe vera plant. Keep one at your home’s entrance. Other good plants to have around your home are: Chinese money plant, cactus, golden pothos, and jasmine.
Water: Water is pure magic! To keep your home’s energy clean, have bowls of water around the house (like fishbowls) and put some camphor tablets in them.
Feng Shui: Feng shui is a practice of arranging furniture and pieces in living spaces, to create balance with the natural world. The goal is to harness energy forces and establish harmony between the person and the space they inhabit. “feng” means wind and “shui” means water. These elements are associated with good health and fortune. Using feng shui in your home will improve the flow of energy.
